Dr. Marissa Hols
Dr. Marissa Hols recently moved to St. Petersburg and is excited to provide chiropractic care for the Tampa Bay area. She loves working with dogs, horses, cats, and has even adjusted chickens and a rat! In her spare time Dr. Hols likes to spend time on the beach with her two dogs and husband, who is also a chiropractor at the Pierce Clinic of Chiropractic in St. Petersburg. They enjoy kayaking, volleyball, and love to try new outdoor activities.
Dr. Hols graduated from Iowa State University with a Bachelors in Animal Science. She worked with a veterinarian throughout high school and college. She combined her love of animals and the healing power of chiropractic to develop her dream career of animal chiropractic. Dr. Hols attended chiropractic school at Life University and completed her animal chiropractic certification at Parker College of Chiropractic in Dallas, TX.
While at chiropractic school Dr. Hols played for Life University’s first varsity women’s rugby team and after graduation has assisted in providing chiropractic care for the team. Her experience with athletes and animals gives her the tools to treat performance animals as well as a unique approach to animals in all walks of life.
Her goal as a doctor is simple: Provide chiropractic care so animals are able to perform at their peak and experience a better level of health and wellness. She will do this by offering precise, gentle, and appropriate chiropractic adjustments to ensure the nervous system is functioning correctly.
